Colonic Hydrotherapy
Colonic Hydrotherapy (Colonics) is a therapy that typically addresses digestive disorders and bowel function. Toxins captured in fecal matter accumulate in the colon. This waste build-up impairs normal movement (peristalsis) of the colon walls. Colonics uses water to gently cleanse the colon eliminating accumulations of toxins and promoting healthy bowel function. Colonic Hydrotherapy is an important component of an overall treatment program.
Why Colonics?
- Family history of colon cancer
- Irritable bowel syndrome
- Fatigue
- Aches & Pains
- Hormonal Imbalances
- Allergies
- Constipation
- Diarrhea
- Headaches
- Weight Management
- Detoxification
- Colitis
Benefits:
- Healthy bowel function
- Detoxification
- Increased Energy
- Vitality
- Increased Nutrient Absorption
- Promotes Organ Health
Procedure:
- All treatments are followed by an Initial Patient Visit to assess the appropriateness of this therapy
- Colonics is not painful—mild discomfort similar to cramping associated with diarrhea may be experienced
- Disposable instruments are used to avoid contamination
- Treatment typically consists of 4 visits scheduled 1 week apart
- Additional treatments may be required, as determined by Dr. Nardella
- Annual colonics treatment is recommended for maintaining a healthy colon
Diet and Lifestyle Management
Many gastrointestinal issues are related to poor dietary habits and/or stress. Diet and lifestyle may also contribute to an intensification of more inherent gastrointestinal disorders—e.g. Celiac and Crohn’s diseases. Through the modification of a patient’s diet and lifestyle many gastrointestinal issues can be successfully resolved. Initial assessments and diagnostic testing guide the development of individual treatment plans. A generalized diet and treatment plan may include the following:
- Patient diet diary
- Eliminating potential food triggers of an inflammatory response
- Introducing low allergen and anti-inflammatory foods into the diet
- Supplementing with low allergen anti-inflammatory medical foods
- Supplementing with anti-inflammatory nutraceuticals
Internal Hemorrhoid Treatment (Kesey Treatment)
Kesey is the non-surgical therapy used to treat hemorrhoids. Hemorrhoids affect a significant percentage of the general population. Symptoms include blood in stool, itching, pain or irritation. Kesey is the application of negative galvanic electricity to shrink hemorrhoid tissue therefore eliminating the hemorrhoid and its symptoms.
Why Kesey?
- Painless treatment of hemorrhoids
Benefits:
- Healthy bowel function
- Safe
- Effective 74%
- No risks associated with surgery
Treatment:
The treatment lasts one half hour. No special preparation is required, some patients experience mild discomfort during the treatment. One to two hemorrhoids are treated per visit. One to three treatments may be required. A follow-up visit may be required to ensure long-term effectiveness.
