Ultrasonic Skin Care Treatments
The DermaSound is a skin care treatment machine that uses low frequency ultrasound to provide intense exfoliation, customized penetration of antioxidants and treatment serums, and an ultra hydrating sonic massage. This technology is used in treating acne, acne rosacea, eczema, psorasis and reversing age related skin damage.
Chemical Peels
Skin rejuvenation is simply the process of promoting new younger looking skin to replace existing damaged skin. A peel is the application of specialized acid formulations to promote natural cellular turnover. Different acid formulations and intensities are used to treat each individual. This is a proven, safe, reliable and effective way to improve your skin. All peels are integrated with a DermaSound skin care treatment delivering optimal results.
Intense Pulsed Light Skin Care Treatments (FotoFacial)
FotoFacial is skin rejuvenation using intense pulsed light and radio-frequency energies to quickly and effectively treat skin irregularities. Examples of skin irregularities include pigmented lesions (age spots, sun damage, and freckles) and vascular lesions (rosacea, telangiectasias, angiomas and spider viens).
It is important to note that this is a repair procedure. Proper and consistent skin care is required to keep advanced skin damage from happening. As a result, patients need to be involved in a regular skin care program. We use FotoFacials in two ways:
- Treat advanced skin damage as quickly as possible; and
- Optimize the results of a consistent skin care program.
Skin Tightening and Lifting - ReFirme™
The ReFirme™ procedure combines safe and effective levels of infrared light and bipolar radio-frequency (electric current) energies to remodel the dermal layer of the skin by stimulating new collagen growth. Both laser and radio-frequency have been used separately for decades in medicine and surgery, but the ReFirme™ exclusively combines infrared light and bipolar radio-frequency energy for ideal treatment outcomes with a very low risk of side effects.
Collagen and elastin depletion in the dermis results in loss of dermal volume, presenting as lines, wrinkles, laxity and sagging in the skin. The ReFirme™ procedure stimulates long term collagen growth as well as tightening existing collagen fibres, which gives an immediate firmed or tightened appearance.
ReFirme™ can improve skin laxity and sagginess of the face, neck and some body areas such as the abdomen or upper arms. Skin texture can also be smoothed out by the tightening and firming effect of the treatment. Most people leave the treatment office with only slight pinkness or none at all. Patients can return to work immediately.
The treatment is comfortable for most patients and all skin types can be treated. Treatment times are approximately 30 to 60 minutes. Five treatments are required. Treatments are scheduled every four weeks. Patients should expect a 5 to 6 month period to achieve their best results.
Cellulite and Body Contouring
Patients have two options for treatment.
Option 1 – VelaShape
Only Cellulite Treatment VelaShape™ by itself is highly effective in treating cellulite. VelaSshape™ deploys heat to the adipose tissue that is responsible for the appearance of cellulite. Heating the tissue increases the metabolism of fat, and shrinks the size of the fat cell. Reducing the fat cell improves the smoothness of the patient’s skin. This is accomplished through the VelaShape™’s unique technology that combines light energy and radio frequency with mechanical rollers and vacuum suction. The suction and mechanical rollers massage the skin facilitating targeted heat penetration to the areas affected by cellulite.
Body Contouring
The technology of the VelaShape™ is also used to reduce spot fat accumulation and achieve successful body contouring. The VelaShape™ is used to deliver deep dense heat to local fat deposits. This heat increases localized fat metabolism and creates the desired shrinking of the area.
Option 2 – VelaShape Combined with Mesotherapy
Cellulite
Patients are expected to receive the best outcome if they combine VelaShape™ and mesotherapy. The mesotherapy is used to boost the effects of the VelaShape™. Pertaining to cellulite treatment, patients have the option to have mesotherapy added to their VelaShape™ treatment at no additional cost.
Body Contouring
This is what mesotherapy does best. Combining it with the VelaShape’s Contour Applicator for fat reduction provides today’s best solution for non-surgical body contouring. Here we are able to maximize patient comfort without sacrificing the results of a mesotherapy-only program.
Cellulite Treatment
Effectively treating cellulite requires the patient’s commitment for ten weeks. During this treatment period, patients visit the clinic once per week. Each treatment is approximately 90 minutes. The patient experiences a deep warm massage. Patients have the option to include 3 free mesotherapy treatments into their treatment program. After this first ten-treatment period, maintenance treatments are required to keep the results looking their best.
Body Contouring Treatment
Body contouring services are offered as a set of eight treatments. Treatment times vary from 60 to 90 minutes in length. The patient’s skin is suctioned to a contoured applicator that is the size of a closed hand. The applicator delivers heat to the localized fat deposit. The patient experiences a warming of the skin that is in contact with the applicator. The applicator is moved several times over the area of concern.
Many patients concerned with cellulite also enjoy significant body contouring benefits. These include circumferential reductions (e.g. thighs) and lifting and tightening of the skin (e.g. a lifting of the buttocks. Please refer to the VelaShape™ before and after pictures below). This adds to the treatment success without extra cost to the patient.
