Many health issues may be the result of allergic reactions to food or substances in our environment. The results of allergic reactions range from severe to mild. The cumulative effects of undiagnosed allergies can have a tremendous negative impact on how any or all of our body systems function. We have significant experience in determining the tests that may be required and successfully treating the issues. Gastrointestinal, dermatological, neurological and immunological issues can be resolved.
We test for two types of allergic reactions:
- IgE – immediate allergic reactions
- IgG – delayed reactions that may not occur for hours or days after an exposure
In our experience, patients have some idea regarding their potential IgE allergies. However, it is very difficult to connect a food or substance as an IgG allergen due to the delayed timing of the reaction. As much as sixty percent of individuals with food sensitivities experience delayed (IgG) rather than immediate (IgE) reactions.
If a patient is experiencing any of the following symptoms or has been diagnosed with any of the following conditions, they may consider allergy or immunological testing to help determine the root cause.
